At Volantess, we value passionate and driven professionals. That is why we are proud to introduce our newest colleague Julian Verouden (26)! This junior project developer is at the beginning of his career and brimming with energy to develop in the world of real estate. Curious about his background, passion and expectations for the future?
Julian Verouden lives in Den Bosch and is an energetic young professional with a passion for real estate development. Besides his work at Volantess, he loves sports - for example, he plays soccer and padel, which helps him stay sharp and fit. He also likes to spend time with family and friends, and enjoys cooking and traveling. “Those moments of relaxation give me the balance I need to go into my work with fresh energy”, he says.
Julian began his career path by studying Graphic Design at Sint Lucas in Boxtel. He then chose to pursue Real Estate Studies at Fontys in Eindhoven. It was during this program that he started working for a real estate developer in Eindhoven alongside his studies. "Gaining practical experience was my goal," Julian explains. This experience ignited his passion and gave him clarity on where he wanted to specialize. "That was the moment I knew my future lay in real estate." After graduating from Next Level Development, a logistics real estate developer, and securing his first role as a junior healthcare real estate developer at Long at Home Investment, he found his place at Volantess.
At Volantess, Julian takes on the role of junior project developer. "My work varies from coordinating different stages of the development process to overseeing quality and timelines. I liaise with investors, contractors, and architects to ensure we achieve an optimal result together. Currently, I'm focused primarily on logistics real estate projects, but I also have the opportunity to work on offices, residences, parking garages, hotels, and other projects. This variety keeps me sharp and presents new challenges every day."
The dynamic nature of real estate development and the opportunity for personal initiative within a compact team greatly appeal to Julian. "In an organization like Volantess, you get the chance to experience various aspects of projects and develop a broad skill set. I enjoy working in an environment that values ideas and trusts you to contribute personally. Moreover, the flat structure is very beneficial; you don't have to go through multiple layers to make decisions. This way, I truly feel part of the team and can actively contribute to our projects," he explains.
Julian feels completely at home at Volantess. He appreciates the freedom to learn, the variety of assignments, and the support of experienced colleagues. "No day or project is the same, and every challenge brings new opportunities to be creative and come up with solutions. Additionally, everyone here is there for each other, and there's always room for a laugh or a friendly conversation."
With his perseverance and eagerness to learn, Julian has clear goals in mind. He hopes to further develop himself and eventually become an independent project developer. "I want to expand my knowledge and skills, positioning myself as a reliable expert who contributes to Volantess's success. It's a matter of hard work and continuous learning, and here I’m given every opportunity to do just that."
