For our client Rhenus Road, we are contributing to the development of a new cross-dock with a storage warehouse and office space of 32,400 m². The property is located at Greenport Venlo and is being developed by asset manager abrdn. Volantess is assisting tenant Rhenus Road in the development of the building complex and surrounding land. Construction started in early September 2023 and will be completed in October 2024.
The building is designed so that it can be modified and expanded in terms of office space as easily as possible in the future. Together with the architect and the client, we searched for the best layout for Rhenus so that it can maximize its activities. For the short and long term.
Thanks to its partnership with Volantess, Rhenus is taking advantage of the best practices and innovations currently available. For example, Rhenus would like to be able to electrify its rolling stock. In order to provide an integrated solution for this customer request, we searched for the best available systems and supported software.
Rhenus has also requested that we oversee the fit-out work and the installation of special equipment. For this, we prepared the specifications and had the design drawings developed. The tendering, procurement, and installation of the various components were managed by us—in close collaboration with the client.
Volantess also provides the application of the right systems and building elements. Because Rhenus is going to rent for the long term, it is even more important to make the right investments initially. This way investments can be optimally benefited from.
